SESEDO - Sustainable Energy Services Organisation, which has 11 members and about 25 field facilitators, has experience and technical expertise covering the whole range of sustainable energy technologies including; photovoltaic, solar, wind, biomass, energy efficiency and hybrid systems.

Mr. Richard Madete, who is the Secretary of SESEDO Organisation completed two degree courses in Germany. The first one was a degree course in Production Engineering "Diplom-Ingenieur (FH)" at the University of Applied Sciences of Cologne (1989) and the second one was a master's degree course in Tropical Technology with emphasis in environmental protection, renewable energies and project management "Diplom-Tropentechnologie" also at the same University in (1991).

Dipl.-Ing. Richard Madete is a 48 years old professional with wide knowledge and practical experience of life in Europe and Africa, Extensive knowledge in Efficiency, Organization, Marketing and Coordination of projects. He is registered as a Specialty Contractor for Solar electric & Wind energy systems by the National Contractors Registration Board (CRB) with Registration number SPE/0421/0/09.  

As one of the initiators of SESEDO Organisation, he has ample experience in the areas of Renewable energy, Rural Development, Environment Management, Planning for Climate Change, Implementation of Energy and Development projects.

In the last 30 months, he has expanded his experience as a Contractor and Consulting Engineer for the installation and maintenance of renewable energy systems as well as energy saving stoves for public and private sectors. In this period, he has successfully realised a number of projects in the field such as Renewable Energy (Windmill water pumps) for Drip Irrigation of horticultural Crops as Income Generating Activity in Mwanza (WISIONS.net - Wuppertal, Germany), Promotion of community involvement in protecting the environment of the surrounding area and the waters of Lake Victoria (Nile Basin Initiative, UNDP), etc

Mr. Yusto Muchuruza is the executive director of KADETFU (Kagera Development and Credit Revolving Trust Fund) — a national non-governmental organization based in Kagera region. As a founding member and a leader of KADETFU since 1993, he has a lot of experience in planning and carrying out various development projects as well as community mobilization activities.

Mr. Muchuruza has succeeded to make KADETFU to be the winner of THE LAKE VICTORIA ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD for the year 2006, which is a demonstration of good performance as recognised by the UNHABITAT and LARVLAC for an outstanding contribution to the conservation of Lake Victoria. Again in the year 2008, his organisation was a winner of two awards that were presented on 28th November 2008 by The Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) in Dar es Salaam, namely the LAKE ZONE CSO EXCELLENCY AWARD and the TANZANIA CSO EXCELLENCY AWARD 2008. The following five scenario were examined by the jury; Governance, Transparency, Participatory, Responsiveness and Accountability.
 
Mr. Muchuruza holds among others a certificate in Participatory Planning in Development (PPD) from Ntungamo Seminary in Tanzania and a diploma in Organizational Finance and Project Management from ICA Institute, Brussels, Belgium in the year 1995 and 1997 respectively. He also recently successfully completed a Post Graduate Diploma course in Land Management and Informal Settlement Regularization at the Erasmus University-Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Owing to his success, for the last 10 years, Mr. Muchuruza has been taking part as a speaker or a participant in many international conferences on north-south issues all over the world.
 
His keen interest in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development, led to the establishing of SESEDO organisation in 2006. In this organisation, in which he holds the position of chairperson, he is the person for the development and testing of water pumping systems and awareness campaigns.
